I.          Welcome/Introductions    

                 

            Members introduces themselves and gave a brief overview of their agency.

 

II.        Agenda Adjustments

 

None

 

III.       Approval of Minutes 11-25-02

 

            Minutes were approved as written.

 

IV.       Update from “Training/Technical Assistance/Education Subcommittee”

 

·        The committee met earlier today at 10:00 a.m. with the following outcomes:

-     Will add Cultural Diversity, Substance Abuse, and Sex Offender training to the list of training.

-     Recommend that the LME provide a contract for outside agencies to provide additional training as needed. 

-     Would like training offered on the process of selecting a provider from the consumer’s perspective.  Additionally, would like training to help consumers understand/interpret information on report cards, etc.  Using the client rights booklet as an example, Ms. Lucas demonstrated how information is explained to consumers.

-     Requested a distinction made between “qualified” providers and other providers.

-     Ms. Ferguson reported that “The Hub” is putting together a Provider Profile to submit for consideration.

 

V.        Discussion of Qualified Provider Network Plan

 

Distributed CCMHC QPN Plan (ATTACHMENT).  Mr. Wagner requested that members review and discuss at next Monday’s meeting.

 

VI.       Update Mechanisms for the Arbitration and Resolution of Grievances/Complaints by Providers

 

This was incorporated in the plan which was distributed as above ATTACHMENT.

 

VII.     Round Robin

 

·        Public Forums will be held at the Headquarters’ Library Pate Room on December 17th at 12:00 and on December 19th at 5:30 p.m.

·        Ms. Smith invited members to join her on December 14th at Methodist College at 6:00 p.m. for a fundraiser to expand housing for Triple Diagnosis Clients.  Ms. Smith asked those interested to call her at 483-3001.

·         

VIII.        Next Meeting

 

            Monday, December 9, 2002 at 3:00 p.m.  The meeting will be chaired by Mr. Cleveland Wilson.
