Welcome
Members were welcomed and introductions were made.
II.
Announcements
·
Mrs. Jenkins
stepped in the meeting to explain the current status of Senate
Bill 163 and that a Risk Assessment Tool is being developed that
will look across the board in all domains for which public
monies are being used. They are proposing four levels of
monitoring base don the type and volume if services provided.

Mrs. Jenkins also
reported that House Bill 381, which is Mental Health Reform, is
law, but not one is giving information about how to meet the
law.

Mrs. Jenkins
reported that there will be conference call on Monday to discuss
monitoring, authority and duplicative monitoring.
III. Agenda Adjustments
Since there were few people in
attendance at the meeting, Mrs. Martin was directed to send a
letter to all committee members advising them of the meeting for
next Friday.

Planning

Round Robin
Members asked about how providers
are suppose to handle ensuring they comply with SB 163 if county
and State aren’t releasing any information. Also questioned
providers’ accountability. Mrs. Jenkins responded that if
receiving an out-of-county referral, need to ensure the school
system is involved as this has been law for some time now.
(Public Instruction is addressing this issue). This committee
is tasked with addressing monitoring of the quality of services.
