Description of
Duties:
This position will
provide evaluations for the court system, which
includes parenting assessments to include
psychological evaluations, custody evaluations,
family based needs assessments as well as
psycho-social assessments and mental
status/diagnostic screenings. This position will
also complete or facilitate access to other
evaluations that appear to answer questions posted
by the court, including assessments for substance
abuse and trauma. Performs other duties as
assigned.
Minimum
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in
psychology and 18 months of professional
psychological experience. Eligibility for
licensure in North Carolina under provisions
specified by the Practicing Psychologist Act (G.S.
90-270.7).
Other
Requirements:
Position offer
is contingent upon drug-screening test and receipt
of negative results, a physical examination, and
SBI background check for all positions with
Cumberland County Mental Health. Reference checks
will be conducted on the top applicants. Official
college transcripts are required upon hire.
Employees must have a current, valid North
Carolina driver's license with a safe driving
record and must maintain a safe driving record
throughout employment. Some positions require
employee to be certified in North Carolina
Interventions (NCI).
